Each Bark Harmony piece begins with bark in its most unassuming state; rough, uneven, and shaped by exposure rather than intention. Through careful stripping, sanding, and refinement, the outer layers are removed to reveal the natural abstraction already present within the trees: flowing lines, organic geometry, and unexpected depth.

Nothing is imposed. The beauty is uncovered.

The process is one of reduction rather than addition-allowing the material's internal structure to come forward and guide the final form. What remains is bark in its most honest state, refined without losing its origin.

A New Art Medium

Bark Harmony works in a medium that exists between sculpture and surface. Using bark as the primary material, each piece is crafted through reduction rather than construction-revealing form, depth, and pattern already embedded within the tree.

This is not mixed media or assemblage. It is bark, preserved whole and allowed to define its own expression. Heat is applied between each layer of resin, illuminating the bark's natural pigment-carrying light, color, and depth throughout the bark with clarity and polish.
